What Is the HTC Excellence Awards?
HTC Excellence Awards was founded with one mission: to shine a light on the remarkable individuals and organisations that make Kenya's creative and business ecosystem thrive. From film directors and musicians to media personalities, fashion designers, digital creators, and community champions — HTC Excellence Awards recognises them all.
The awards are organised into 8 award groups spanning Film & Theatre, Music & Performing Arts, Music Production & Gospel, Media & Broadcasting, Digital & Content Creation, Modelling & Fashion, Business & Events Leadership, and Community & Social Impact.
How Do Nominations Work?
Nominations are open from 29th June 2026 to 8th August 2026. Any member of the public can nominate a deserving individual or organisation across any of the 70 award categories. Head to the Nominate page and submit your nomination today.
When Is the Gala Night?
The HTC Excellence Awards Gala Night date and venue will be announced soon. Stay tuned to our social media channels and this website for updates. Tickets will go on sale once the gala details are confirmed.
How Many Categories Are There?
There are 70 award categories across 8 groups: Film & Theatre (9 categories), Music & Performing Arts (14), Music Production & Gospel (5), Media & Broadcasting (8), Digital & Content Creation (8), Modelling & Fashion (8), Business & Events Leadership (10), and Community & Social Impact (8).
Who Can Be Nominated?
Any Kenyan individual or organisation that has demonstrated exceptional talent, achievement, or impact in their field during 2025–2026 is eligible. Nominees must be active in Kenya's entertainment, media, business, or community sectors.
