Peter Nguka’s most significant achievement is his transition from student leadership into building platforms for youth participation in African and global affairs.
As Governor of the University of Nairobi Students Association, he represented thousands of students and championed partnerships, student welfare and leadership opportunities. His leadership earned him the Uongozi Leadership Award, Student Governor of the Year Award and the University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor’s Award.
He later founded and became Executive Director of Africa CMDG, a youth-led platform advancing Africa’s voice in global governance. Under his leadership, the initiative has trained over 10,000 young Africans, engaged 5000+ University of Nairobi students, established Global Governance Clubs and supported more than 20 policy briefs.
He has contributed to international leadership and policy forums, including ACUNS, and serves on the Champions for SDGs Youth Advisory Board. His other recognitions include University of Nairobi Alumni of the Year, Transsion Global Talent Scout and Co-Creation Fund awards.
His greatest achievement is creating opportunities for others to lead.
